Cybelle L. Cenac was born in the United Kingdom but has lived on the island of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean most of her life where she was educated till she was 17.
She completed her LLB with Honours with the University of West London in 1999 and attended the University of Newcastle in the UK where she completed her training as a Barrister in 2000. She is a member of Lincoln’s Inn and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in June 2000 and later the Bar of Saint Lucia on the 7th August, 2000. Ms. Cenac holds a Master’s degree in Legislative Drafting from the University of London.
Following her call she entered the Chambers of her Uncle Winston Cenac, Q.C. where she undertook the full running of his office for 5 years until his death, continuing in private practise for the next 3 years. Following a brief foray into politics she returned to private practise full-time in 2006 until she was offered the post of Registrar of the Supreme Court of Saint Lucia in 2008, a quasi-judicial post, until her resignation in June 2013. During that respite she offered her services as a freelance consultant to other Attorneys until she took up the post of Master of the Supreme Court with the Republic of Vanuatu on the 1st October, 2015.
