Apppointed as a Judge of the Supreme court since 2011.
Justice Dudley Aru joined the judiciary as a Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Vanuatu in 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Papua New Guinea with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and also obtained a Masters (LLM) degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Prior to joining the judiciary he served as a Barrister and Solicitor both in private practice and in Government.
He was the Commissioner for the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission before joining the State Law Office as the Solicitor General and was the Acting Attorney General for a number of years. Upon leaving the State Law Office he was accepted to join the judiciary.
